Call for Projects Opens for the 7th Tokyo Gap-Financing Market (TGFM2026)

Organized by TIFFCOM 2026 as an affiliated event of the 39th Tokyo International Film Festival, the 7th Tokyo Gap-Financing Market (TGFM2026) will open submissions for projects on May 8, 2026. The market will take place from October 28–30 at Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba 8F, Port Studio.

Recognized as a leading project market focused on film financing, TGFM supports Japanese, Asian, and international producers in securing funding through curated one-to-one meetings with key industry decision-makers, including producers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, broadcasters, and funders.

TGFM2026 welcomes feature film projects — both live-action and animation — from around the world, with a particular focus on projects featuring Asian elements. Selected participants will join a tailored co-production market program designed to foster international collaboration and financing opportunities.
