Filipiñana, one of the selected projects of TGFM 2025, has won the Special Jury Award for Creative Vision in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.

The film is a feature-length expansion of the short film Filipiñana, which previously received the Silver Bear Jury Prize at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival. Directed by Rafael Manuel, the feature marks a significant step forward for the Southeast Asian filmmaker, whose work has continued to gain international recognition.

The film has also been selected for the Perspectives section of the Berlin International Film Festival, scheduled to take place in February 2026.
